Calendar

We started (with Dejan Habicht) the project because we wanted to give a New Year present to our friends. The first calendar that we made was the calendar for 2000. The form is different and depends on the subject, but every year our friends get a calendar. Last three years the calendar was also available to the wider public, since it was for a short time available on the Internet.

The first and the second years we asked our friends to write the days of a month on a part of their body. We printed out twelve copies of the photographs and put them together into a calendar. Next year we asked them to give us a snapshot and the fourth year we asked them to contribute a photo of their family. The fifth year, we put up an exhibition of materials. Ten friends brought us things on the theme of eroticism. The sixth year we asked twelve friends to take us on a trip (on the theme of our homeland) where we took photographs and then went for lunch. 2006 year’s theme for the calendar is the forest.

The Body – 2000
The first calendar that we made was the calendar for 2000. We asked ten friends (we kept a two months for ourselves) to write the days of a month on a part of their body. We printed out twelve copies of the photographs and put them together into a calendar. Ten friends got a calendar.
In collaboration with: Davide Grassi, Ema Kugler, Kiki Lazetic, Irena Pivka, Natasa Kos, Tadej Pogacar, samo, Goran Bogdanovski, Mateja Medvedic and Igor Stromajer.

The Body – 2001
We repeated the idea the next year. We only changed the photographic technique and the format of the print. The photographs were snapshots and the calendar was printed out in one long strip.

Snapshot – 2002
The third year we asked ten friends to give us a snapshot. We had the pictures printed onto mugs and each of them got one mug, therefore one month.

The Family – 2003
The fourth year we asked them to contribute a photo of their family. Some gave a picture of themselves when they were small, some gave pictures of their parents, sister, lover or place connected to their family. That was also the year when the calendar was available to the wider public, since it was for a short time available on the Internet.

Erotica – 2004
The fifth year, we put up an exhibition of materials. Ten friends brought us things on the theme of eroticism. Dejan took shots of individual pieces from the exhibition and we made these photographs up into a calendar. The calendar was available on the Internet for three days.

Homeland – 2005
The sixth year we chose our homeland as the theme. We asked twelve friends to take us on a trip (on the theme of our homeland) where we took photographs and then went for lunch. Mostly we visited places around Ljubljana, even though we were also taken to Croatia and Austria. The calendar was available on the Internet for three days.
